Summer finally arrived!

Summer finally arrived here in the Netherlands! So I couldn't resist to do some colorful, summer-like paintings.

A second mage design. The first(bottom) is a more Templar design, however the new one has a more Germanic look.

Update!

I didn't expected people actually regularly check this blog out.

I stopped updating because I thought it died out. 

But on request I will start updating again, today featuring a fraction of the stuff I did the last weeks.

As you see tons of character design. Each day for a couple weeks I did about 40 anatomy practices and 3 character designs. This really improved my art :D

What you see here was the result of 1 or 2 typical working days, however school is consuming all my time lately.

Wacom on the go

The Wacom on the go; a laptop and tablet in one! It's a concept I had in mind for a while now and I took the time to make a realistic model of it. I find it quiet annoying to set up a laptop, tablet and tons of wires on a small desk. This design is perfect for designing in high quality, without needing much space.
I don't really have a name for it yet, but more renders are coming soon, and maybe even a video of it.
It took me about 11 hours to get to this point, and I expect that will become some hours longer after every render is done.

A flying car or something, I'm not sure. It was mostly for technical practice. My goal is to make 6 of these in a hour.

Weird concept xD

Dino + human is......?

The assignment was to combine a creature and a human. This is my first concept so far. It's weird but somehow it looks believable to me. I'll work this out to a final drawing in the upcoming days.

Character sheet

Mind controlled zombies, that's the idea.
A world where zombies walk around the earth for over 10 years now, and civilization has been rebuild. Scientists discovered how to control the zombies and use them as cheap employees. Due a chip in there brain controlled by devices carried on his back he's only able to do what the chip tells him to do.
There is also a cure for the virus that makes you a zombie, however only the rich can afford it, this leads to a situation where the poor live a life of fear not to change into one of them.

In this character sheet a zombie butler is shown, he wears quiet rich clothes to show off his owner's wellness and more specific the family weapon.
It uses a staff to stay in balance and on the back is shown the devices to control the zombie with some additional features.

The character sheet also shows the thumbnails made before this character.

Car wheels in 3Ds Max

Start to improve in 3Ds Max. Now working on some cars :D

Female Droid (WIP)

The female droid.
Used in the army of France since 2076 as a distraction for enemy troops. She's fast, light weighted and due her sphere like wrists she's able to make the most difficult moves.

A year after she got used as a combat doctor. The female design of the robot gives a calm and trusted feeling to the shocked, and wounded soldiers on the frontier.


This design is just a work in progress and will hopefully be finished within a week.
